It’s one of the biggest style decisions that you’ll ever make. Here are Mark Lessons’s Top Three Tips to help you decide if committing to the crop is for you.
FACE UP TO YOUR FACE SHAPE
The rules tend to say that only certain face shapes suit having a shorter hairstyle. However, it’s all a case of balance. If you have a square or rounder face shape, opt for a slightly longer crop with soft layers around the hairline to soften your style.
DO IT GRADUALLY
Nervous about taking the plunge? Do it gradually! Going from long hair to cropped can be a shock to the system so take the plunge slowly and cut your hair in stages.
STYLE IT UP
Short hair can be more maintenance than long hair as there’s isn’t the option to sling it up into a ponytail if you’re in a rush! Maximise your styling options and ask your stylist to keep the length longer on top.
